The Pool Management Group in Atlanta, GA is the headquarters to 16 swimming pool management and lifeguard services locations across the US. We have an excellent opportunity at our headquarters in Atlanta. At headquarters, our objective is helping our locations succeed, grow, and improve year over year. We provide our locations strategic focus, business support and operational support as needed.

 

POSITION: The Leadership & Operations Team Member will be part of the corporate support team based in Atlanta. This position requires supporting our locations out in the field (travel required), performing physical pool management duties, trouble shooting pool problems, and interacting with customers and lifeguards in the field. This role is an opportunity to grow professionally while progressively learning the skills to manage the complete operations at a city.

 

DUTIES: Managing swimming pool operations, swimming pool cleanings and repairs in the field as needed. Visually inspect aquatic facilities to ensure they are up to our standards of cleanliness and water chemistry. Extensive travel is required during the pool season. Interacting with customers to assess and improve satisfaction levels. Aid in planning and execution of our annual company-wide Safety & Operations Symposium and our annual General Manager Retreat. Assisting with basic technology administration and processes: our nationwide cloud based clock in system, operational reporting, online training & office administration duties as needed. Tasks may risk exposure to extreme heat/cold or extreme weather conditions. Also, routine exposure to chemicals such Calcium Hypochlorite, Hydrochloric Acid and other pool related chemicals.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates may come from one of two different industries: Pool Management or Waterparks. A minimum of 3 years experience and a bachelors degree (Work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the listed requirements may be an acceptable substitute for the education requirements). Possess a thorough understanding of pump rooms and pool mechanics including water. chemistry and operation of chlorination and filtration systems. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks well. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, employees and lifeguards. Enthusiastic & self-motivated. Ability to travel extensively each spring and summer. Willingness to work long hours in spring and summer. Knowledge of general office machines and software, including computers, printers/copiers, and Microsoft Word and Excel. We’re a non-smoking company.

A high degree of experience with swimming pools and/or lifeguards is required.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, FULL TIME SALARIED POSITION
Columbia, SC

The role of Director is very important, while at the same time, it allows the individual to grow and acquire knowledge while staying in an area they know and are very comfortable. The Director of Operations has a lot of responsibility and report directly to the General Manager. We hope that this person will be able to grow into the General Manager role in the near future.

 

POSITIONThe main function of a Director of Operations is to oversee the daily operation of their assigned commercial swimming pools, including operations and staff. Some of their responsibilities may include:

· Swimming Pool Staff Supervision – During the summer, the Director will directly oversee any Pool Managers and Lifeguards at their assigned aquatic facility.

· Facilitate Company Training – This involves the training of Pool Managers, Lifeguards and Service Techs to operate safe, clean, and environmentally friendly commercial swimming pools.

· Overseeing swimming pool operations – This includes training staff to chemically balance the aquatic facilities swimming pool, vacuuming the swimming pools, cleaning the pool tiles, cleaning of the facility decks, cleaning of the facility furniture, cleaning of the bathrooms, maintaining the pools circulation system, and all other aspects of running the facilities.

· Customer Service – One of the most important aspects of the Director duties is the direct contact with the pool management company’s customers. The quality of service you provide to each aquatic facility is a direct reflection on you and the company.

· Human Resources – At times, it will be the Director who will need to assist in the recruiting of Pool Managers, Lifeguards and staff members for the swimming pool facility.

· Opening and Closing of Facilities – Involved with the Spring Opening and Fall Closing/Winterization of the Aquatic Facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2-years experience with swimming pools. LGI certified and CPO certified are a plus. We will provide additional training for the right candidate. Willing to work long, hard hours in spring and summer months. Opportunity for the Director of Operations to be able to grow into a potential General Manager role in the future.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $70,000-$75,000 Per Year
